Cocktails at Ichizen

Ichizen are selling half-price cocktails tonight. I fancy getting blotto on a medley of strawberries, champagne, Russian vodkas and that special blend of passion that makes me feel like Duke Nukem jumping through a ruined city, burnt and amazed.
We buy alcoholic, red magma, shooting blue flames, simultaneously quell the fire and sink the fluid warmth.
When will people will believe my words? I told them to leave me but they stay. They come looking for me but I close the door. "Itchizen's are selling half price cocktails tonight" they plead and I get my jacket and head for the neon. Sitting against the wall, elbows in crushed peanut shells, sipping the fantasy and looking at peacock feathers and grey velvet bows in a glass case, thinking about the way life should have turned.
Dominic asks if I would like another drink. Of course. The question is what drink and how can this time be different ? The barman hoists bottles and pours in a choreographed sequence of Kung Fu moves.
Why can't I grasp how to do 'life' and 'happy' or even know what they are? I wander embittered, ravaged by the world and half price cocktails at Ichizen
