Just noticed this on the list of recently added.
I like the atmosphere. When I read it I felt that the narrator was holding something back all the time. He had that Patrick McGrath quality, where you're always wondering whether to trust him or not.
If I'm honest, I'm not sure it fulfills the early promise, but is still worth a read. I might be being a little harsh for no good reason.
I really like the VOICE. It's a sparsely-written piece by someone who obviously loves his horror.

Secondly, what I meant by not fulfilling it's early promise is probably more a personal thing - I WANTED it to be Patrick McGrath, but it wasn't. I can't hold that against it.
