Knot Mine - Part 2

Dormant cars lie in colourful divides,
Like the light weeping street lamps on this very night,
The air is thick with hinting of daylight,
And mood of Mother's car still stinks of the last fight,
The street becomes bustled with the aching of tramps,
And with windows wide open you can smell that their damp,
So the many streets pass with Karen almost quiet,
Her breath being the only thing causing a riot,
But what of the mother and boyfriend in red?
They sit in the front seats merely scratching their heads,
But Karen still stirs so very deep inside,
Waiting and whinging for the end of this ride,
To be at her next home, the one she requires,
Of grandmothers chocolates and love of the choir,
"Are we simply there yet? Karen will huff.
"We'll be there when we're there. Says the boyfriends throat puff.
"Well when we arrive be sure to say.
"When we are there, my girl, its time for our way.
Karen turns eyesight to the windows deep view,
So great are the trips when you become someone new,
For grandmother she will be lovely, a treat, an obscure delight,
Before the boyfriend came round the world was all right,
But when he turned up with his rules, regulations and authority,
The love war for her mother became a monopoly,
He sits there each night with white vests and a can,
Examining his muscles to be a real man,
When he's not training he's straining or sipping on shakes,
Then ignores Karen for mother such jealously he makes,
So enough is enough, this song is a fast one,
If this was America then Karen would use a gun,
But America it is not and Britain is weak,
We run from the cold and give money to the meek,
But what does that last line mean to a seven year old?
All Karen knows is that one parent is very cold,
And that temperature truly is a conducting one,
It freezes the heart and burns out all the fun,
"Are we there yet already? Karen soars.
"Just your lucky day¦just open the door.
So Karen does just that to an applaud from the car,
And as her feet hit the pavement mother can't wait to get far,
"Maybe this was a mistake? Karen inspires.
But no they are gone, no joke¦they truly weren't liars.
