How can you lie so calmly there,
accepting all your lot?
Can you not see, this isn't fair;
that is some God, you've got!
You've spent your life believing in,
a saintly 'Saviour's' love.
Is there somewhere, an evil twin
that no-one's aware of?
What love is this that calls you 'home',
with anguish and with pain.
What can it serve, to watch your child
be driven half insane?
Is this the way that he rewards
all those, who praises sing
to this almighty torturer -
and kneel and call him king?
And yet you bid me, read for you,
to keep you satisfied,
about an ordinary man,
they scourged and crucified.
