I'll be here,
not coping as well as you-
you always do,
-with all our pains inside me,
I tried to take from you.
No dragonflies wingspans touch
my same span outstretched arms,
they fly above in fear of my wild cries.
Then the air,
air of thick, green forest,
cools,
darkness covers my sore eyes.
Only the sunlight through the leaves
tries to reach here,
trying so hard to reach me,
to beam some hope
into shutting hearts,
not here, I put myself here,
looking down deeper,
hear no comfort around me
hands cover my sad eyes
holding back tears and sighs.
Dipped my toes into
that damn deep dark lake again,
that is so hard to pull myself out from,
let me breath again.

Perhaps you should swim in Jennifer's pond instead of "...that damn deep dark lake again..."

Hi Kahdai,
I love the fourth stanza:-
Only the sunlight through the leaves
tries to reach here,
trying so hard to reach me,
to beam some hope
into shutting hearts,
not here, I put myself here,
looking down deeper,
hear no comfort around me
hands cover my sad eyes
holding back tears and sighs.
I found this very emotional to read.
Thankyou for a lovely poem.
Jenny.
