Rush

I am the dandelion;
purse your rosebud lips and blow,
then watch my seeds go flying;
spreading my sun golden glow.
I am the tall tree pushing
up to branching stars above;
green grass and rushes gushing;
flowers flowing out like love.
I am long veins of lightning
that pound against ground below.
I don’t mean to be frightening
though my voice booms and bellows.
I am warm beams of sunlight
that spray out into your room,
painting the walls and all bright;
making smiles and flowers bloom.
I am fragrance and birdsong;
I am beauty all around;
open your heart, it can’t be wrong,
to my colours, scents and sounds.
Raindrops are racing over panes;
rivers rushing to the sea;
herds thundering across the plain.
I’m the river of life, feel the rush of me.
