Page Numbering

Is there any proper way to number a page for submission? Are there different places you should put the numbers depending on what you're submitting and to whom? Will putting the numbers on the bottom when they should be on the top, or the top right when they should be on the bottom left make a bad impression, and lower your chances of acceptance - or whatever the case - from whomever you're sending what you're sending off to? Does none of it actually matter?

Ugh. Stressing again. Help?

Hi, Jessica. I believe someone posted this before. I hope it helps. Best of luck to you, Rich http://www.shunn.net/format/story.html(link is external)

I number all my pages '1' because let's face it they're all gold medal level pages. Hope that helps.

Many thanks, guys. I'm just trying to submit this short and at this point - passed major procrastination - I cannot afford to screw up anything. The vibe they give off is a little rigid, too, so I'm like biting my nails over this.

Jess

Surely they have submission guidelines, Jessica? The majority do (and should) and, if they don't no harm in emailing and asking. Guidelines can vary a lot from publisher to publisher and comp to comp. http://www.ukauthors.com(link is external)
