Waking Life, directed by Richard Linklater.

One of the most curious and interesting films I've ever seen. An animated journey through a series of lucid dreams which tackles modern philosophy in a really accessible and visual way.

I'd never seen anything quite like it before. Has anyone else seen it?

Not seen this one but it looks interesting. I like most of what I've seen of his. Before Sunset and Sunrise, A Scanner Darkly and Slacker were all good. And different from each other!

It's that sort of Scanner Darkly style animation in parts, Alex. I haven't seen Slacker, but it looks to be similar in that it cuts from conversation to conversation without too much of a narrative. I reckon you could get it on torrent, although having said that I don't know how many of those sites are open any more.
