Life -A Voyage

Your journey has just begun,
With the company of none.
Sailing through the seas,
Guided by the breeze.
You might find an island,
A lighthouse by the bay,
Flying fishes and whales
Bookmarking your tale.
Someone is watching you,
“God” you might say!
Maybe, maybe not,
But hope is there to stay.
The outstretching horizon
through its curvy lips,
Whispers to the sun,
To take a gentle dip.
As you lay on your boat,
Facing the glittery town,
A beautiful comet whiffs by
Flashing her unending gown.
You close your eyes
and wish for one.
And lo! Comes your bride,
to stay by every tide.
She sprinkles joy around,
Lighting your little boat
with candles of happiness,
gentle breeze to float.
She gifts you little angels,
who beautify your vessel
with laughing innocent bells
for the silly tales you tell!
You face the storm together,
Those dark dusty days,
With bursts of laughter
You shoo them away!
How long is this voyage?
Well, I don’t know.
But as long as I live here,
I’m thrilled to flow.
With its splashy anklets,
Every cherishable mile,
Dances to the tunes
With a wavy blue smile.
Wish I sail forever,
With this little sailing friend,
For miles and miles together,
Wish this voyage never ends!

My fave bit, some of the poem feels too stretched out as if you need to keep it shorter.
maisie Guess what? I'm still alive!
