Homeland by Barbara Kingsolver

She was a great find for me early last year - I loved 'The Poisonwood Bible' - a real tour de force.

I've now almost finished 'Homeland', her book of short stories.

I read so many on here that I think I am becoming something of an expert on the format. These are quiet, understated and poignant. They give a real sense of place, time and character and are to be utterly commended.

Anyone else tried them?
