One more crack to go with the rheumatics,
just one more pain at fifty-something.
Who said age brings wisdom?
There's no fool like an old fool
for love.

Just because you're old enough to use “giddy”,
doesn't mean you're too old to be it.
The excitement of love tastes sweeter,
if you've been aged in the barrel
like wine.

But,

No one wants to see a grown man crying:
come on, front up and show the world
you've grown the carapace of years.
It doesn't matter if this love proves
your last.
