LOOK BUT DON'T TOUCH

I look towards him,
He returns my glance.
I'm then face to face,
With forbidden romance.
I think about him,
Much more than I should,
But won't tell him that,
For his and my own good.
I like him a lot;
I more than like him.
I'd open myself,
And let him come right in.
But I can't do that,
It isn't allowed.
So I'll have to retrieve,
My head from the clouds.
He'll never be mine,
But what a fine man.
I can't be his lover,
So I'll stay his fan.
