A city: like a sea of squares
within squares. Buildings
windows, bricks.
(floors, offices, cubicles)
Dull, opaque, the green of glass,
(desks, drawers, boxes)
white concrete stripes,
roads tarmacked black.
(filled with waiting staples, like
ranks of metal soldiers)
All are different, yet
all are the same.
We built ourselves
a maze of corners
and lost ourselves
within.

I love the concept of "a sea of squares within squares". It's very definitely a case of building mazes, especially when seen from the air. A nice clever little poem, bluesocks.
