Raindrops are falling on the naked
pedestal. "Where is the statue?’ asks the
boy his mother. The statue sits in the pub.
He talks to the barmaid. The statue
admits that he has been proud of being a
representation of a historical hero.
"Maybe I needed it," he mumbles. "And
now?" asks the girl to the disappointed
man. The statue orders a drink. He takes a
chisel from the bar. And starts to chip
the marble of his efflorescing body
