Mash Potato Thoughts

All I have are mash potato thoughts
That is, not thoughts of mash potato
Rather thick cloying thoughts, meaningless
That stick in your frontal lobe and require no
Rumination at all and offer little mental nutriment
I have obstructive thoughts about nuts
That is, not nuts per se but rather
High value thoughts, oily and full
But encased in a particularly hard shell
The cracking of which will stark your ravings
I can’t stop thinking about cheese
That is, not the order of curds and whey
But rather some greasy blurb in disarray
Thick, fusty thoughts prone to sweating
Stale musings, hardening, gathering mould
My thoughts are all custardy
Granted they are mellow, calm
But hardly stirring, they’re vanilla
And there’s lumps. I am too cowed
To arouse the vigour just for dispersal
Halloumi pontification has taken over
That is, not the edgy cousin of Feta
Rather thoughts which leak under scrutiny
Indeed they squeak when grappled
And alone they are meaningless

thoughts that grapple are
thoughts that grapple are hard to shell, but I thihk I can say, you've managed more than that today. But should nutriment that dog food sell be nutritent something less like canine hell?

I like "stark your ravings"
I like "stark your ravings" :0) Also that any ingredient can be meaningless on its own?
I remember mashed potato being called comfort food, must be the same as "requiring no rumination" no doubt?
