Naked
Faces cast away
Naked
In the aftermath
Naked
Either pay the price or don't stay
Naked
There's no blurred coloured lines
Naked
They know how to walk around landmines
Naked
For the world to see
Naked
still they chose just to be
Naked
They're the only ones who can break
the silence
In order to be free

Mary-Anne I was very pleased to discover these
Mary-Anne I was very pleased to discover these new poems. Your poetry is really excellent and you always treat the subject matter with sensitivity. These are mostly happy themes often with children and then more serious and sometimes heart-ache and some are pain and tragedy. Well this is how I see it.
In this one I like how the naked truth comes out together with war and the freedom of silence and death. To have nothing and nothing to hide.
Although I don't like the concluding lines so much it makes me think of suicide bombers. I hope that wasn't the intention.
All the best keep on writing! Tom

in principle
In principle I would say Tom's interpretation is just as valid. It is debatable. Nobody owns the words of the English language. By the way I don't agree if you want to say Tom dissected your poem.
Maybe we should all be more tolerant and, we really do appreciate and admire your work.
