I thought it was a ghost,
Who shaked my bed and rattled my drawers.
I thought it was a ghost who,
Who had me running for my life.
I must get away from this demon I thought
And ran into the street.
I watched as my house crumpled
Beneath the weight of the ghost.
I saw that there must be many ghosts.
For my neighbours stood like me;
In their slippers and their night gowns.
I realised I has forgotten something,
My children amopng the rubble.
