To be a Pilgrim

I seek, I yearn for that which
You said would be an adventure.
All my days are extraordinary
Take some time to recognise a life long pilgrimage I walk
The narrow paths around the city walls, whilst
Outside in Calvary
Your prosaic footsteps make no sound
I enter all the open market squares
Of faith in God
In populace
In therapy
And pharmaceutical wizardry
Oh love, like
Seeping nosebleed,
Head pains
And can't breathe
Fling my arms
Around this fucked and finite world.
