This is Battersea Peace Pagoda
Haven't been here lately
Where River meanders sedately
Russet Leaves
Drifting on a course unchanged
Beckoned by a memory of the sea .
This is Alexandra Palace. Rise
Rippled heat, slowly blanket panorama
Shroud a view in haze,
The far-off spiked silhouetted dome
Hallowed silver by halo evening sunlight, yes
A silhouetted dream.
This is Abney Park.
Forlorn Cemetery whose
Flowers wilt, their petals blown high, torn bruised blossom
Delivered to the moon
In a still sky and the stone Angels weep,
Dripping rusty tears,
Not for the dead they fall to, no
For the lost and living generation,
Their synthetic silicon souls.
