Broken (For her Babies)

Her babies are all dying,
But they feel no hurt, no pain.
For they've died a thousand times before,
This is their life; Who cares anyway?
They've been broken for a long time,
Their mother, damaged as a girl,
Broken bones and dirty clothes,
Torment of her hidden world.
She doesn't 'mean' to do it;
She's hurting; it just 'happens' sometimes,
She always forgets to brush their hair,
But she loves them; deep inside.
Brusies kept a secret,
Sometimes they're too much to bear,
But most times, they don't feel them,
A world too blind to care.
So who will save her babies?
Maybe you or me?
Help give them the chance.
To smile, to laugh; be whole, be free.
I pray one day,
We won't just look,
But we will
Also see.
