New Solutions to Old Problems(a response to a query)

Regarding my intelligence, William, I'm only repeating a modest version of what's been said about me since I was a youth(even by people who disliked me)... and what I see evidence of in my daily life... from chess to Jeopardy to my ability to stretch an absolute minimum disability check to feed and clothe two people, furnish a growing library, spread my own books, and even do the occasional good deed.

William44, I've written extensively on how we can solve many of our national problems... I've written in the form of letters-to-the-editor, internet writings, physical books in libraries, etc.. I've sugar-coated it, and I've put it down pure and ugly. But I'm quite content to again lay out solutions to problems, though it would work better if you stated a problem that seems especially pressing to you. I'll also say that, like all innovative and logical solutions to difficult problems, my solutions will likely seem repulsive and ridiculous, because they contradict the varying dominant memes that aren't working.

But here are some of my prescriptions for an ailing super-power, starting with the more palateable ones. We need to follow China's example and make more use of early aptitude, as opposed to later memorization-measurement, tests. Once we've found out who most of our gifted youths are, we can give them special attention and direction... preferably they should be segregated in elite schools of a few different sorts depending on the preference of the student. The thing that all these schools must have in common is that they should instill passionate patriotic loyalty... whatever students love best should be tied in their minds and spirits to the U.S.A., its flag, and some interpretation of its principles. As these students age, they'll make great scientific discoveries, win amazing military victories, create untold profits and jobs, and use their powerful intelligence to serve and strengthen the U.S.A. and her people.

Secondly, we deal with the issue of deficit and debt. The first way that we do this is by finding people like me who currently take public resources and give them the medical therapy, accomodation, and/or aid that they need to create resources. Of course they're a tiny minority, but in our society some of those with the very strongest potential are poor, marginalized, considered(or have actually been driven slightly) insane, etc., etc.. However, this will only work if it's done right and with a spirit of respect for these individuals and their needs. Next, we re-assign some large percentage of current military personnel to public works within our borders. Have them build roads, bridges, and provide other services to enrich our economy and national life(such as a wall along the Mexican border and wherever else illegal immigrants get in.) We currently spend more on our military than the rest of the worlds' nations combined(this is a fact.) But much of this spending is not on personnel but on technology and weaponry. I suggest we liquidate the excess by selling them to other nations, especially our allies. How do we do this? We make it public knowledge that we're no longer going to defend certain many nations unless they buy our military technology. Saudi Arabia, Japan, Germany, etc., will be lining up to fill our coffers. Since at the same time we would raise taxes on the wealthiest corporations and individuals, release all non-violent drug offenders, legalize and tax marijuana and psychedlics, AND slash government spending in certain precise rational ways, our government would be positively awash in cash. We could use this money to instantly eliminate the deficit, start paying back the national debt, develop extremely high-tech military technologies and departments to continue our unrivalled military dominance, aid the poor, and get the unemployed to work on subsidized factories and farms.

This is how I would BEGIN to solve our problems and ensure our future greatness. I have many other ideas but I'll have to elaborate later because it's time for me to put my pen down... and go smoke some of my legal medical marijuana while conceiving another child for Republican tax dollars to support.
