The Forgotten Continent

The hallowed hollowing has not occured
I think you have plugged the holes
And patched the wounds
You placed the seaside on my thumb
And opened the gate
Telling me that there is so much more to understand
And so much more that matters so much more
Than today's tattered, battered, matters
For what is Past and Future when there isn't any "Now" ?
Now slips and melts
Like love
It will not be contained
You may not master it or seal
It in heavy earth-bound confounded confines
But you feel it
Peeping through thorns of majesty
The daffodil
Screams "Overkill !"
And the sun weaves strands of shining pleasantries
As intricate as time
Trees re-green their pseudo-barren regret and
I know that I am dead too
And somewhere somebody misses ME
Even now they are leaving THEIR messages
On the Universal Ansaphone
As myself I would not know them
As myself I could not know them
Though their echoes blend on April breezes
Twist my ear as fragments of the Dreamtime
I (too) will get back to them as soon as possible
Making sure to reverse the charges
