The ways of then ; the three roads crossed
Fortuitous friend of the ebony strider
Smiling with me for the feast and the pheasant
Delicate flagon raised to the galleon
Stallion fires and shot-moon highways
Beckon and boast of the riddled yoke wine
We spilt when we split ;
Severed the beat from the drum
Rum-toddy copse chasers ; foxed in the forest's
Flailing dreams of flaming retreats
Temporary pictures poured forth from pitchers
To loose these bloody chiefs
