When pumpkin sun sinks out of sight
and stars above start twinkling bright
as bat eyes deep within a cave
then ghosts and ghouls get up from graves.
Then owls go hoot and wolves go howl;
four footed, furry monsters prowl;
and scowl and snarl and drool and bite
as they roam through the Autumn night.
So little children please beware
of fearsome, fiendish things out there
vampires, witches and goblins, green
and have a happy halloween.
