A little girl called Nell

There was a little girl called Nell

who found a pretty cockleshell

and when, the shell, she opened wide;

the little girl found gold inside.

And with the gold she bought a fish ;

a fish that could grant just one wish

and what she wished for was that she

could sail a ship across the sea.

Then she sailed to a distant land

with silver trees and golden sand

and there she met a wicked witch;

a wicked witch who had an itch.

But when she scratched the itch she had;

she saw the witch was not so bad.

The witch taught her a magic spell

for turning things to caramel.

Thanking the witch, the girl sailed home

but there she met a mean old gnome

who kept a Prince inside his cave

and made that handsome prince his slave.

But then she used the witch’s spell

and turned the Gnome to caramel;

she saved the Prince then she and he

lived, ever after, happily.
