The Room

The room was dark as was everything else in the room. By the window, there was a shiny wood desk painted black with many multi-colored files stacked neatly on it. The walls were painted midnight blue that could’ve been mistaken for black. By the desk were shelves and shelves of books. Most of them were the classics: War and Peace, To Kill a Mockingbird, and Brave New World, which are just a few of the many books on the shelf. The shelves themselves were unique. They were made of marble yet they were almost clear like glass. The door was so close to the shelves that they almost touched. The door was white, but the knob was black. By the door, written in red spray paint, were the words “Live to love”. Under these words was the language learning software Rosetta Stone for French. The bed itself took up a vast majority of the room. The frame was king sized made from cherry wood with a lovely red tinted finish. The sheets were black with red paint stains on them possibly from splatter paint. The only thing left in this fairly barren room was a cross made entirely from nails that was directly above the bed and took up much of the wall.
