Twists and Turns of Life

Life is rough,

 

And can be rather tough,

 

But its short and temporary…

 

Love it for it is most probably your first

 

Live it as for it lasts only long enough for one smile,

 

Everyone walks, but only some walk an extra mile,

 

It takes work and time, like a tree that needs to blossom

 

Shower it with the love and affection it desires and craves

 

Give it all it needs for it will give you back everything in grave,

 

It will give you over thousand fruits of joy and achievement,

 

Shade from the sun, like those little bothers in life,

 

....

 

Soon, you will look at that tree

 

Look back at when it was a tiny seed

 

Look back at when you gave it all the love and work it had need

 

Look back when you didn’t just sit and watch,

 

As it grew towards dangerous ways

 

But worked your salty, stained sweat off to shape it the many good ways

 

And now it is what it is today

 

Nicely nourishing flush fruit of your love; work; hope; and time!

 

That is the summary of life

 

The steps to the fruits you need

 

It all starts with a small, tiny seed

 

You either work to shape it the way you want

 

Or do nothing but watch;

 

Watch it as it grows into the dark, where no eyes can peep

 

And dig its own grave,

 

Six feet deep.
