I have to be thankful for the standard of my dear old ma's cooking because it was she who inspired me to learn to cook myself. I would have died of starvation if I hadn't.

Her burn't rice pudding was nice though.

Lovely words to describe such a majestic and beautiful creature. I could watch gulls for hours ... except for when they're trying to steal my kids' chips.

My first ever balti pie was when we went to see Bath playing at Halesowen Town. I can't remember the score, the line up, our away kit, the weather or anything pertinent to the game but I will never forget that pie.
