Getting Out More

It has been a very long winter of wild weather. Of course, this suits me fine; never leaving the house, snuggling up with a book or two, or re-watching ‘The English’; brilliant, dark story telling; brutal, magic, heart-breaking. And what is it about a still man?
But Spring will spring up on us. All that upwards energy, time to shake things up. I thought, ‘I have a book for that’, and started reading ‘The Way of the Five Seasons’.
Suddenly, possibly due to the beautiful vistas in ‘The English’, actually getting outside, doing something out of character or comfort zone, became appealing.
Especially if there is a hot filled roll and a cappuccino at the end of said actual getting out.
It was in this frame of mind that, several weeks ago, I booked a ‘Dawn Chorus Walk’ at Pitmedden Garden National Trust property. Start time; 5.30AM. I’d have to get up at 4AM to be awake enough, and have time, to drive there. I swithered; I’ll not lie. Then read in the blurb that there was a hot filled roll and a hot drink included in the price. I clicked that Eventbrite button right there and then.
Hope it’s sausages.
On a roll, not the hot filled kind, I also booked outdoor yoga in the walled gardens at Leith Hall. I only hope I can get up off the grass. You see, there is no way I could be described as a yoga stalwart. I do yoga at home in long johns and a thermal vest. (Lycra is so cold in the mornings and let’s face it, only Jane Fonda can carry it off). I suspect that proper Yoga gear people don’t do hot filled rolls. And I think they’ll find their prana is all the poorer for it.

You're probably right - but I would love to see it
You also made me wonder why we have so many regional variations for anything involving bread - it always amazes me
