POETRY MONTHLY

Poetry Monthly, July

Hello all and thanks for your contributions this time to Poetry Monthly!  Two interesting poems to go back to:

  • catherine poarch’s Biss or Bissn’t -

https://www.abctales.com/story/catherine-poarch/biss-or-bissnt

  • Jennifer Skinner’s Brief Moment to Dream

https://www.abctales.com/story/skinnerjennifer/brief-moment-dream

The focus for this coming month is – Where I Write.  Take this literally – do you write in a garden shed, a scholarly study, on the bus – or somewhere more bizarre? (Might be good to add some pics of your writing spaces too?)  Take this metaphorically – consider the space in your head where you write.  Write about the process of writing, or about the dreaded, writers’ block.

As usual, in the end, write about whatever causes the creative tickle in your brain and then don’t forget to share on ABCtales.  See you next month. smiley

Insert – or Noo – surely if you want an interest in Poetry Monthly, and its current subject, there needs to be some reminder of it visible somewhere throughout the month? eg just a note on the 'Home' page? I had to search down the blogs to find this to check up exactly what the 'brief' had been!

Or, actually, maybe just a note of what the current subject is at the top of the 'Poetry Monthly' section, as you do on one of the IP sections, changing the subject at the top each month rather than each week.
