It gets harder and harder to make these weekly picks, because there's just so much good stuff on the site at the moment.
After much deliberation, Story of the Week goes to the first part of Drew Gummerson's new series 'The Aquarium'. Splendid, rambunctious writing, amazing characters and some laugh-out-loud moments. In other words, exactly what you'd expect from this author. And it comes with a splendiferous Louis Armstrong clip: https://tinyurl.com/suhfyor
Poem of the Week is Jupiter Moon's beautiful 'where emily walked'. It captures the essential contradiction of somewhere like Haworth - it's in the same setting, you stand captivated on the 'cholera cobbles' where she stood, modern tourism leaves its unmistakable mark, but there's still the Something that you can just catch if you stand still: https://www.abctales.com/story/jupitermoon/where-emily-walked
