A Hiatus for Archibald!

I'm delighted that so many people are keen to follow the ongoing adventures of Josiah Oakshott and Archibald Thurble, my two tame (well, mostly) Undertakers.  Having completed their trail of destruction across mainland Spain in the 'Bring Out Your Dead' series, they're now wrestling with the aftermath caused by that trail having culminated in a shoot-out at the crematorium, and the impact this is likely to have on attracting new business, in their latest series 'Dead Reckoning'.  In fact, Josiah and Archibald were last seen heading toward Evanley Hall in Cheshire in the hope of obtaining a new, high-profile, customer, a hope that may not be entirely warranted!

Now, I'm as keen as you are to see where this particular trail might lead us but this week and next have been, and are going to be, quite busy with a multitude of things, not least the launch of 'Bring Out Your Dead' as a novel in both Kindle and paperback versions.  The novel was published on Easter Monday (April 1st, which seemed rather apt) and it is quite time-consuming to try to ensure that as many people as possible are aware of its existence.  I've been aided in this endeavour by ABCTales very kindly featuring the novel on the front page of the website, which should have made the cover familiar to everyone, if nothing else!

The bottom line (as they say in current parlance) is that I simply don't have the time to devote to Josiah and Archibald's new story just at the moment and I don't want to just rush something out to fill the void, regardless of quality.  So, I'm hoping you will bear with me when I say that the next episode of 'Dead Reckoning' will be postponed until Friday, 19th April, 2024.

I'm so sorry to disappoint my regular reader but I hope you understand.  I'm also sorry for Josiah and Archibald, who will have been stuck in a car together for three weeks!
