Question Twenty One - Have you found Peace?

Question Twenty One – Have you found peace in the space of your singleness, or not? How so?

Donna

Yes

Alyss

I am human, and thus inconsistent, so if it’s a bad day, no; but if it’s a good day, yes. Spiritually, when the day is tough, and I am comparing myself to societal expectations and others around me, (or I find myself in that crazy space of social media where the psychological trauma of everyone else’s ‘great’ lives impacts me) God speaks in His stillness and tells me that it is well and I can have peace in Him. Sometimes the peace comes after visiting others with little ones, that’s a literal peace in the breathing space of my quiet home and quiet routines.

CJ

Yes, I have found that I enjoy my own company and being able to have time to do things I would like to do.

Alexa

Most days I’m fine, but there are still odd days where it’s hard and I feel lonely and down.

It’s kind of an acceptance I’ve come to that I may be single for the rest of my life even if it’s not what I want.

KA

Absolutely! I love being single! Yes, I miss having someone special, but for the most part, I’m perfectly happy being on my own. I’ve always been a bit of a ‘loner’, in the sense that I am very happy in my own space and company, and in fact, I’m probably most at peace and content in my own space and company.

NH

Yes, I feel at peace with my situation in life.  I feel I know myself really well, and I have little fear of the unknown.

Lizanne

Yes and no. It varies, based on the pressures, loneliness and circumstances.

I am at peace.I am in a position of being able to make time for those who add positivity to my day without the need to consider a partner.I also know that being single is much better than being in a relationship that is not adding value to my life.My times of being low have been more when in a faulty relationship than my years of being single.
