The Darkness Prologue

The lightning cut through the ballast and fire sprang to life in the window slits. A babies cries joined those of the feral animals who roamed the dark cliff sides.

This is now more than one chapter so I'll make The Darkness a prologue :) The Brightness is the story of two men who try to ensure all is right with the castle-dwellers. Of course all is not well.
