Forever Jaded

Richard Salivor had a wonderful life; the war was far from home, and he didn't pay attention to it. He spent his days watching the clouds pass by, or exploring, or hanging out with his brother and/or friends. One day, his world is shattered, and he's left trying to pick up the bits and pieces of it. On this journey, he finds love, companionship, hardships, loss, sorrow, guilt, fear, and regret. He must overcome his fear and woes and take control of his life again.

The soldiers marched by Richard, not paying him any attention. Richard frowned at them as they passed by, guns in their hands, knives on their belts.
