Peaceful Short Story Markets
I'm interested to find out if anyone knows of any alternative/progressive magazines or ezines that accepts short stories. Preferably in Europe or Canada, since my native American market has reverted into some kind of dark ages I don't have the energy to deal with.
I don't care if the market is pays money or not.
The story is at http://dev3.abctales.com/story/37054 and if you can suggest an appropriate showcase I'd greatly appreciate it.

Here's a page where you can find details of virtually every outlet for short stories in the UK:
Are you doing the writer's bureau course, or is anyone else who happens to read this? Is it any good?
Warren you might like to take a look at www.footstepstooxford.co.uk if you want to showcase your story. All the necessary details are there on the site. Good luck.
Warren, I haven't read your story but if you don't mind whether you're paid or not, the world's your oyster, to put it in a nutshell and a couple of cliches!
The paying market is quite different, and you have to conform to the readership's wants to make a buck, unfortunately! You might check out UKAuthors resources pages for lists of short story markets. Good luck! :-))
