Now here is a deserved winner of the Booker!
I found the first twenty pages a tad heavy but then it just takes off. Couldn't put it down. Laugh, cry, wonder. It's a gem!

Meh, I enjoyed it. But it felt very light to me. It was a ripping good yarn but that's about it. I have read the unbearable lightness of being and love in the time of cholera since Vernon God Little so I suppose it was bound to seem a little easy in comparison.
Good fun though. Not deserved of a booker but then, hardly any booker's are.
