Re the editorial staff using pen-names for their contributions. I just figured this was so people wouldn't curry favour by rating their work 5 all the time and sending them gushing fan-mail. I.e, so that they, like everyone else on the site gets an objective view of their work. A bigger mystery is that there are 3 cherrypicking editors. I'm guessing that Emily Dubberley and Mark Y-B are two - but who is the other ? Why are they so silent in the forum. (Unless it's Tony Cook - in which case, sorry) In fact, to be para - how do we now that Mark and Emily are their real names at all - maybe THOSE are the pen-names. "Paranoid - is that what they're saying about me now ? "

Are we to believe that your wife would marry you only on condition you took her name as part of yours? Whether you would make up a name like yours was never in doubt in my mind, after all you did come up with the 'David St Bonk' didn't you. (Incidentally were you bragging or were you really that good?) I have to confess that you have been a little less evasive about the identities of the cherry pickers than Diana who talked a good tale and tried to make me believe she had answered the question. At least you openly declined to tell the truth!

All I know about the editors is that they cannot spell. I had a story banned from the site (far too well written and humourous for the serious ones to understand) with the following message: Your story has been regected (sic) because blah blah blah. Can't be a typo, even two fingered me knows the g is a whole h away from j! Perhaps this should be a new thread. "Banned stories - post your email here to view a copy! - Age ID required of course" Much love stormy ps This hasn't affected me of course. As long as I stay on the medication and steer clear of keyboards in daylight I'm OK thanks.

However, I do submit my work to the site under a pen-name, for exactly the reasons set out above so that's another mystery for you (although if people would *really* curry favour by sending me fan-mail, then maybe I should reconsider...) Deadly serious, Mississippi. 1200 strangers in our midst should not be taken lightly! Who are they? Where are they from? What do they do? What do they want? I haven't slept since Sunday.

Ok, here's my theory. I have already ascertained that there are phantoms present on the site. You have I hear you say. Explain yourself. Well in the coure of another discussion in which I took part it transpired that our chief exec. no less resorted to subterfuge to put his point of view anonymously. How did the cunning little bugger do this? He simply used another name. So if it's the done thing, endorsed by the damagement, sorry I mean management to have mutiple aliases and you multiply that across the membership you have everybody with 3.3 names. Now I can see that the .3 might present a problem to some people but this is an average so some might actually have half a name! Anyway you get my drift? So Robert, the bottom line is are you actually Liana?

As the Chief Exec I can assure you that my own writing and my comments in this discussion group are all submitted in my own name! Oh, and we're over 1800 registered members now and growing fast so get all those friends and relations registered and help us grow!

Sorry Tony, I should have checked the other thread, then I would have known it was Mark and not you that used a nother name. It serves me right for being too quick to get a cheap laugh.
