A nice poignant little story -- heart-warming in a wrenching sort of way -- that moves quickly to a neat satisfying twist at the end. Barry’s compassion for people comes through with an economy of words.

I totally agree with your assessment of this story. It even brought a tear to my eye at the end. Barry has such a great way of leading you thru a story to a surprising and neat ending.
