I remember this last time. I enjoyed it this time but have to say I prefered the last version, though that maybe because I already knew the end story.
I'm not sure about the councillor at the end and also found this bit too formal;
'“It is ok isn’t it?”
He stretches up onto his toes and brushes the ceiling with his slender fingers.
“Of course,” she says too slowly, he frowns. “You are always welcome here, you know that.”'
I suppose it's the 'it is' rather than it's and the 'you are' instead of you're.
Also like last time the sentences starting repeatedly with He and She can become repetitive and sound like a list, hope this is of help.
