Muse on holiday,whence creative impulse?

The person who encourages poetry for me,makes imagination crackle truly is ..on holiday and not in email contact.This week two poems of mine placed in a competition so I "know" I can sometimes write something good but.. without Muse I'm awfully flat.Perhaps I should go and read something and not try to write for a bit.For me writing has to have an object to write to.A conversation in the head.
