Hi guys, I don't know you but I found Drew's piece above both inspirational and practical.

Thanks,

PS Sounds like it was a great day and congratulations on the deal with Cape.

Just read this - It's great and very interesting for anyone who wants a publishing deal. www.lorrainemace.com
It really was a great day, and fantastic to be around so many creative people. Stephen Booth gave a great speech at the start. I enjoyed doing my bit but also listening to the other talks all day. On the bus leaving I was chatting to the Notts / East Mids Arts Council chap, then the Arts Council person from London got on the bus and I sat next to her on the train. Somehow I managed to sit in someone's seat. She said don't worry, I'll stand. But of course I told her to sit. She was the most beautiful woman I have ever seen. Really. And smiley and friendly and then we got chatting about trains. Then she started talking about the conference and it turned out she was one of the agents that attended. I thought, how odd, all these people who want to meet agents. This is the way to do it, nick their seat on a train. I already have an agent who is lovely too. And I met a publicist who was really great. It made me think this is what I want to be doing all the time. http://drewgum.wordpress.com And keep your eyes posted on the below link: http://writersroadshow.wordpress.com A future event in Northampton... more details to follow.
