I'm afraid I haven't heard about a book with John Wilks. I'll get in touch with Tony and ask him about it, but he's away for the moment. Is the Pentathlon an annual publication?

Luke, it was a competition Wilky and Tony ran at the beginning of the year. The previous competition was a Poetry Pentathlon and Wilky arranged a book printed by Lulu for that, which I bought. (Everyone got it for Christmas!) From memory I thnk he was aiming to have the Prose book out in April, but I at least heard nothing more of it. I think you will find out more in Forum posts from about 8 months ago.

Unfortunately, John has decided to shelve this project after the majority of participants in the prose pentathlon failed to respond to his inquiries while he was trying to put together the book. He assumed that there wasn't going to be enough material (or interest) in the project to warrant publishing, and now he's bogged down with other projects and won't be free to revive the project until March of next year!
I'm afraid that the best course of action here may be to shelve this collection permanently and work towards a new ABC collection, which, hopefully, we'll be able to generate more energy and enthusiasm about.
I know all of you must have been on-board and active with this collection and I'm sorry to be saying that it hasn't come together. We'll get it right, next time!
