Life of Pi
thoroughly enjoyed reading this recently.
Have now moved on to Isabel Allende's City of the Beasts.
I love reading. I love books.
I enjoyed Life of Pi, toom,, gail - but I found the ending just SO disappointing. I won't ruin it for everyone else by revealing it but I wanted to believe in it and I couldn't see the point of questioning it. It just weakened everything that had gone before.
Enjoyed reading this book. The first part was very interesting but later on the reading speed slowed down. I agree with Tony.
It was a good idea badly executed. Someone floating on a raft isn't very interesting.
But what was amazing was that he made it interesting.
So he won the Booker.
I enjoyed the beginning and the boat sinking and the beginning of the time on the raft but then i felt that he was running out of things to happen so was just inventing anything. It didn't hold together. There was too much gratuitous water in it. Which ultimately sunk it.
