Life is too short
I've been trying to catch up on the threads but it's taking between three & four minutes to download each posting...
...Gotta go now 'cos if I try one more I'm likely to miss the whole of Corra.
Switch to Eastenders then and knit a cardie for Pauline while yer at it...
funny that fecky coz I was whinging - as I do - the other day about the site slowing to a crawl late at night. Yet this evening it's whizzing along.
a veritable skateboard in the worldwideweb of fishyness.
Fecky, I'd have thought that catching up on the threads was considerably more exciting and intellectually challenging than poor old Corrie is these days. It USED to be a drama series, but that was some time ago now. Sad..
Linsi, you need TWO... the mind boggles.
Roy, I agree to a certain extent... wasn't the original script writer someone named Tony Warren?... and I AM a lot sadder than I usually admit..
I now confess to watching Neighbours for five years before realising it wasn't a documentary.
Sorry - the site does run slowly once per day when we run the site statistics at around 1am. We're trying to find a solution at present (we've already changed it so that the stats only run once per day as opposed to every hour). I'll keep you updated.
Cheers
Emily
Who would be your all time favourite character, Roy?
Wot abaht Uncle Harry, then?
(site's bloody slow tonight, too, and only 11pm!)
i love dot ...
and anyone who goes anywhere near peggy just have to have a Very Dark Secret in their past or future ...
Fecky - I meant the decline of Corrie was sad. Didn't mean to imply that you were sad for watching it, okay? I've sort of kept an eye on it since its very early days, when it was something entirely different, because my late father-in-law was part of the small group at Granada who developed it and got it on air. He was the original script editor - so he knew all about dialogue - before becoming Producer and Executive Producer. He also wrote literally hundreds of scripts.
Since then, the whole programme has been "repositioned", as they say, to compete with the Aussie stuff, and much of the sharp characterisation has been ironed out. No Ena Sharples these days!
Hey gang,
Yes, me back by unpopular demand. And no I still haven't got a job. Missi was bemoaning the lack of interesting tidbits on the forums these days.
So I decided to just pop along and say hi to everyone..
" HI!"
But to the subject of Corrie. I have never been a fan, maybe that annoying theme music or the lack of any decent characters put me off.
I used to love Eastenders and then that went stale. Brookie is the best as far as I am concerned.
Anyway, as soon as I came in ... I went off again.
hey you know that button thing gary had in the vic? ... can you buy them?
Yeah!! and not just for men either
I want a cardboard-button-thingy too!
In fact I'll have two! :o)
