Cobain's Diaries

I want this book for Christmas and have flicked through it in a bookshop. It's erudite, poignant and so infused with vulnerability it truly touches me. Any opinions on Nirvana's front man? I am considering even buying some of their music, unless it is the type of stuff that will see me swinging from the light bulb by mid afternoon.

I'd say go for the music Wolfie. Nirvana are a great band that have introduced hundreds - thousands - of kids into a wealth of other great alt music (like myself, formerly a spice girl lover - see general discussion forum!). You might well swing by the lightbulb but is that such a bad thing? Nevermind is a good introductory album I reckon, tho personally not my fave. I'd like to buy the journals but I'm still not sure how I feel about actually doing that. My reasons are a little complicated for my unarticulate fingers (?!) to explain, but I did read the excvepts serialised in the Observer magazine and they were incredibly interesting.
