A synopsis for your shears!

Hey guys would really like to know what you think of my synopsis!

What genre are you aiming for, if any? It sounds like a sci-fi thriller, in which case the plot seems robust and effective enough, if you can pull off a future war environment realistically. Personally, though, I wouldn't want to read it if it was *just* an effective sci-fi thriller, and the element that is more interesting to me is the amnesia and paranoia aspect - does he sympathise with the man he once was? Is he, in fact, the same man? Is he just being used - was he being used before, and can he ever break free? If the book were more about this - if it were more, say, a heady futuristic parable about identity and freedom - and less about love interests and technobattles, I think it could be much more special. I'd consider changing the title. It's a bit cheesy.
hey Jack good to hear from you cause i'm really enjoying your stuff. Thanks for your comments and actually you've guessed half my plot! Yes he does both sympathise and despise his old self, he is being used all over the place as it unravels through the three novels, he is not the same man but a new mind being influenced from all angles as he tries to pick what he thinks is a just side. And yes he does break free in the third book - but that is a really bad thing for all!! As regards to the enviroment its pretty easy to do really due to the effects of the war the landscapes are pretty much descimated and the buildings are very simple and hastily constructed(cheating a bit i supppose!) The love triangle is very important to the story because the two women basically represent his two choices in the conflict. And i'm crap with titles! Have the first two chapters on here http://www.abctales.com/story/daron316/chapter-1-edited http://www.abctales.com/story/daron316/waking-up-in-big-trouble cheers again mate

There's a danger of Stephen King--ish creeping in but I'm sure you've thought of that. The World after a nuclear war whether 50 or 100 years have passed is an awful prospect to consider. There would be little law and order, depending on who won and how many were left standing. All the norms and things we take for granted would be gone. Perhaps the old adage "That love will find a way" will prove to be true. You've set yourself a hell of task and I wish you good fortune with it. I look foward to reading the eventual result.
The idea partly sprung from my own fears over where this whole 'war on terror' will end. It's sort of a nightmarish cosequence to over extreme polices. You know one country goes too far and everyone has to pick a side. Well thats the history of the conflict, the story is set sometime later with only two sides left and typically trying to blow the crap out of eachother! So i suppose there's a whole 'will we ever learn' theme to it.
