any member who may be interested in the plight of libraries can read here about the need to electrify baby rhyme times! Think Syd Barrett, vintage guitars, psychedelic nursery rhymes and out of control babies-- the ideal rock n' roll audience

That's a fab blog entry you've got BJD.  Loved the descriptions of the yummiest mummies and the au pairs.  Excellent as usual.

Thank you Scratch for the thumbs up-- i approach these gigs more seriously than any live dates in the past. i am practicing my chops all week long in the basement. we do a lot of velvet underground and Wild Thing gets them falling over each other. York looks like it will be lots of fun. it would be great to have some guitars at the ABC evenings

And Bbanyard I appreciate you passing a link to Robin Ince, great if he goes for it. hard finding the right balance with the blog, gossip, sex, death and transcendence but I got detoured into rather lengthy pieces about Arthur Machen. any tips on what might be a better balance let me know

one exercise I set people writing short stories in the library is to write about an everyday object, something with an emotional charge-- inspired by the simple objects Raymond Carver uses with great emotional resonance. is that an interesting challenge?
