Chrissie Hynde

Chrissie Hynde, lead singer of pop group, The Pretenders, is under fire for suggesting that women in high heel invite rape as they cannot escape from their attacker quickly enough. That is akin to saying that wearing jewellery in the street is inviting mugging. What annoys me is that the woman is always to blame for unwanted sexual assault.  Why about blaming the man, who is ninety-nine per cent of the time, in full possession of his faculties?  If he is never blamed, he will continue doing so.
