Oh joy! A new writer with a wry, sad, hilarious tale on dysfunctinal family life. The opening sentence bristles with original and witty observation and it carries on in the same vein.

I enjoyed this one, but I really liked The Twelve Day Muse. I lived in a similar village in Italy and it really took me back. At times i was confused with all the new characters, but this is much how life in these villages can be, especially to a non-native. Spacing would've probably helped.
